How to Sauna

Before Your Session

Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! Most people do not drink enough water to begin with and now that you are using an infrared sauna and sweating, it is even. More important to stay properly hydrated. Always doing plenty of water before, during and after your session. Remove all makeup to allow your skin to receive the experience full benefits of the heat.

What to Wear

Lightweight shorts and tee shirt are ok. Swimsuits are better. “Birthday Suit” is fine too. We recommend bringing clothing that is loose fitting and comfortable to put back on after your session.

During Your Session

You may not sweat much during your first 2-3 sessions. This is normal for many people, as they haven’t had a recent history of sweating, and it takes a few sessions to “retrain” the body to do what comes naturally. Take care not to overheat during your sessions. As the body continues to adjust, sweating increases and body temperature regulation becomes more effective. ‘If the sauna becomes too hot of stuffy, you may open. the front door to let some fresh air inside. Drink at least 10 ounces of water during your visit. Stretching your arms, legs and back area during your session creates more body flexibility. Massage congested and “knotty” areas to alleviate pain.

After Your Session

When you finish your sun a session, it is important to relax and cool down while your body continues to perspire. Shot or recline with a towel or wrap around you for about 10 minutes.

Enjoy a cold eucalyptus towel located in. the Cold Towel fridge. Place the towels you used in. the hampers provided in the facility. Shower 20-30 minutes after your session
